Hosted by Wembly Street Farm at the UCF Urban Teaching Farm  

Grow delicious and nutritious vegetables right at home! Join us for this hands-on workshop on Saturday, June 30, 2024 from 9:30-11:00am to learn everything about cultivating a bountiful vegetable garden.

Topics covered:

- No-Till Garden Bed Method - Build fertile beds without tilling

- Basic Kitchen Garden Plan - Polyculture planting for maximum harvest

- Soil Essentials - Giving your veggies the nutrients they crave

- Plant Selection - Choosing varieties perfect for your garden

- Sunlight Needs - Ensuring your plants get the right sun exposure

- Pest Prevention - Identifying and controlling common veggie pests

- Watering Wisdom - Proper irrigation for healthy plant growth  

- Garden Design - Laying out an attractive and productive garden plot

- Eating & Harvesting - When and how to enjoy your homegrown veggies

Each participant will receive:

- Gardening notebook 

- Digital booklet with veggie gardening tips

- Pre-planted no-till garden bed to take home

- Starter vegetable plants to get you growing
